DALLAS, March 12, 2010 – The Patriot Cup announced today that Trident will be the Title Sponsor for this year’s event. This marks the second consecutive year Trident has partnered with The Patriot Cup to support The Wounded Warrior Project, honoring men and women of the military injured in the line of duty.

“The Patriot Cup has grown beyond our expectations,” said Tom Fitzsimmons, 2010 Patriot Cup Committee Chair. “With Trident returning as title sponsor this year, we hope to see that growth continue into the future.”

“We’re humbled to be a part of this project to honor the men and women who’ve selflessly defended our Nation. They’re true heroes and we welcome them back to our communities,” said Maurice Herrera, Marketing Director for Trident.

The 2010 Patriot Cup lacrosse tournament features a week-long schedule of high school and collegiate games and exhibitions at various venues in the Dallas area. The event will culminate March 20 at SMU Ford Stadium with a full day of events and a night game featuring national powerhouse teams from the University of Michigan and the University of Oregon.

The event benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that seeks to assist men and women of the armed forces who have been severely injured during conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world.
